About Eurovision, they say that this competition is primarily political. That we are unfairly fed on him because of the actions of our country. That he is no longer at all the same as he was before. And that the winning song is usually quite unintelligible.
With reservations for each item, this, of course, is everything true - but these reservations should be spoke from the very beginning. Despite the obvious political component of the jury (the lack of high assessments of Russia from the countries of the former USSR, the mutual support of the countries of the Balkan bloc, and so on), gradually this support comes to naught. In addition, now that the jury voting and the voting of the audience is divided into two different categories, you can see who people really liked, and who is not very good. Sometimes thoughts, however, converge - the absurd number of Britain, according to which The Guardian proposed to finally understand whether the British hated zero points.

Neither the jury nor the audience responded to the shirt - and we can assume why. However, it is worth starting with the opposite - and assume why the manage stood out among the rest. If you look at the first five performers, you can see that modern European pop music causes both the jury and the audience only fatigue. Its brightest representatives were in the second part of the dozens of leaders - this is Lithuania with their rather fashionable sound, and Greece with its convincing image of the sound of the eighties, and vice versa, Malta with its modern trends.
Russia with its sound and hip-hop-hop with sound and recitative looked quite advantageous-however, it is worth noting that after all, the first places went even more traditional European pop music. Switzerland and France performed with calm numbers, designed primarily for the power of vocals of performers. Iceland attracted the attention of the audience with bright costumes, elegant scenography and not the most standard structure of the song - we can say with confidence that at least the love of Tiktok users went to them. Some of the obvious favorites, which were really deprived of - Ukraine - simply recorded the most memorable song of the competition: a wonderful electropol, based on a folk song.
But, unfortunately, the triumph of unprocessing music did not happen-and the winners of the San Remo this year, the Italians Måneskin took the first place. Although the musicians themselves talk about the influence of various styles on their music, they are primarily inspired by old -regime rock - trying to add a completely new message to him. The winning song “Zitti E Buoni” praises everyone who goes against the current, who tries to be not like everyone else.
But I must say that, first of all, Måneskin attracted attention with a fantastic ability to keep the hall and energy, which was transmitted even in the record. Möneskin showed their appearance how important the lack of binary in the modern world, inheriting the aesthetics of the genre Glam in some ways. The androgenity of the performers, the change of gender roles, the references to the decline and decadence in the texts - all this refers to the music of the seventies with its roots. At the same time, in America, Glam was known primarily not his first wave oriented towards art, but rather the second, where the music was already burdensome for hard rock-and Mopeskin also strives there.
The victory of the Italian rock band is not only a story about how important to win the hall and arrange a real show-but also about how much the jury and viewers are tired of classical pop music. You can relate differently to Zitti E Buoni, compare it with The 1975, late Panic! At the Disco, Muse and Placebo (in the case of the last two - rather in aesthetics than in musical accordance), you can find it simply boring. However, it cannot be denied that at Eurovision the country not only won, previously considered the main pop line of Europe-but won with rock song.
In this context, one could assume that Eurovision was more interesting this year. But this is not entirely true. Now the landmarks of certain participants are becoming more and more noticeable: the greatest influence on many of them seems to have been exerted by Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande. A somewhat advantageous against this background was Bulgaria with a fertile pop-tumer in the spirit of the Lord and Billy Ailish, but in the majority they try to follow the patterns of the already worked hits-as we see on the first ten, it did not work: people prefer the similarity of originality, but the contestants do not understand this yet.
Thanks to the broadcast on YouTube and the more original shooting of numbers, it becomes noticeable that the “Eurovision” is trying his best to be non -casual - and they even managed to catch up with intrigues, until the last, leaving Switzerland a chance to win.
But it would be not true to admit that most of the songs of “Eurovision” this year were rather faceless. Eurovision is famous for its carnival, and this year there was practically no one - in this regard, Germany with a girl in a costume of a giant hand and Norway with an angel in shackles, around which the devils were pleased. At the same time, these performances were frank outsiders-perhaps this year there was still no time for the enchanting and absurdity.

They won-or rather, the strongest entered the top ten: and if you are upset because of the ninth place of Mange, then you can’t still not note two points.
Firstly, even if Europe was not quite imbued with the message of Manizhi Sangin-but she clearly charged Russian women. In this regard, the moment was quite indicative at the end of its number, when the many representatives of the Russian women outstanding in their business sang up. At least in Russia, the message reached its addressee - and gave an impetus of inspiration and inspiration for many students of Mange.
Secondly, do not forget that our first performance at the competition in 1994 is the beautiful song “Eternal Wanderer” performed by Maria Katz, then known as Judith-also took ninth place, despite the fact that it was quite amazing, albeit with a rather unpretentious scenography (it, in general, was not at all). Katz, by the way, I liked the number of Manizhi. She commented on him briefly: "Well done, girl!"
