The editor of the Kemerovo website of Kiselevsk News Natalya Zubkova, who left Russia after the attack and threats, reported the closure of the publication. She explained that she made such a decision for the sake of family safety and the possibility of implementing other projects.
“Thanks to the actions of representatives of the authorities, thanks to the actions of law enforcement agencies, the actions and inaction of the prosecutor’s office, the Investigative Committee and all the“ well -wishers ”, our site ceases to exist,” Natalya Zubkova said in the video published on the website. - This project has outlived itself morally, it is no longer relevant. Residents of Kiselevsk do not need any free publication. Residents of Kiselevsk do not need people who talk about what is actually happening in the city. People, apparently, were not ripe in order to use true information.
The journalist added that she would deal with other, “larger” projects that will not be devoted to local news, but environmental problems in Russia.
Natalya Zubkova left Kiselevsk in February 2021 after the attack of an unknown man on her, who, according to her, threatened her with a “physical reprisal” against her daughters if she “opens my mouth at least once”. After leaving, the investigator came to Zubkova to a rented apartment in Yekaterinburg, although she did not publicly report her whereabouts. After that, Natalya left Russia, but stated that she would continue to write about the problems of the Kemerovo region: “black” realtors, ecology and violation of the rights of indigenous peoples - Shrians and Khakasses.
