The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia was released from a pre-trial detention center in the case of a clash between protesters and police over the transfer of land to Chechnya

The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria changed the measure of restraint from detention to house arrest for the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Ingushetia and co-chairman of the World Congress of the Ingush People, Akhmed Pogorov. Mediazona was informed about this by the press service.

Pogorov was placed under house arrest until June 25.

The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia is being investigated in the case of a clash between police and local residents during rallies in March 2019 due to changes in the republic’s border with Chechnya. He is accused of organizing the use of violence against security forces (Part 3 of Article 33, Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).

Pogorov is the only person involved in the “Ingush case” who was put on the wanted list. He was charged in absentia.
