The politician was detained in Moscow on April 26, after which a protocol was drawn up against him regarding participation in an action organized without notification (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The police claimed that in the video from April 21, from 19 to 23 hours, Gozman was walking along Tverskaya Street and chanting slogans.
However, the politician saw in the recording a man similar to himself, but walking with his mouth closed. Gozman also noted that he was already on the train at 21:00, so he could not be at the rally until 23:00, which the security forces spoke about. On the video, because of which the report was drawn up, the time indicated is “18 something”, which also does not correspond to the statements of the police.
Gozman told reporters that he would appeal the decision to the appeal court.
