The name of the new head coach of the German football team is named

The German Football Union (DFB) officially announced that the former mentor of the Munich Bavaria Hans-Diter Flik will be the new head coach of the national team. An agreement with a 56-year-old specialist is calculated until the summer of 2024.

Flik will be replaced by Joachim Leva, who has been leading the German national team since 2006 and will leave the position at the end of the European Championship.

The Euro 2020 shifted for a year will be held from June 11 to July 11. The rivals of the German national team in group F will be the teams of Hungary, Portugal and France.

Flik headed Bavaria from 2019 to 2021 and in the very first season led the club to two champion titles, to victory in the German Cup and Super Cup, in the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and World Cup Championship. From 2006 to 2014, he was a member of the Leva coaching staff.

Under the leadership of Lev, Bundestim won the World Cup (2014) and the Confederations Cup (2017), won bronze medals of the world championship (2010) and two bronze awards of European championships (2012, 2016). However, the 2018 World Football Championship in Russia failed the German team, taking only 22 place.
