Google wrote fines for 6 million rubles

The World Court of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined Google three times for 2 million rubles for failure of the content prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation, as Roskomnadzor demanded . This was reported by the press service of the court.

All fines of Google are assigned to administrative cases of failure of information, if it is mandatory under the legislation of the Russian Federation (part 2 of article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The issued fines are half of the maximum punishment under this article (4 million rubles).

On May 24, Roskomnadzor said that Google does not sufficiently filter the content banned in Russia and does not remove from 20 to 30 % of links to such information. The department did not exclude the slowdown in the traffic of the company's services. It was assumed that Google was supposed to delete the forbidden information by May 25.

Earlier for the same reasons, Roskomnadzor slowed down Twitter. After that, the company removed more than 91 % of prohibited content. As a result, Roskomnadzor decided not to block Twitter, but threatened Facebook and YouTube sanctions.
