The investigation of 1.3 billion at the Research Institute of Novosibirsk has been completed

In the Novosibirsk region, the prosecutor's office approved the indictment in the criminal case of the theft of 1.3 billion rubles in the Novosibirsk Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after Y.L. Tsivyana (NNIITO). This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, from January 1, 2009 to November 28, 2017, the NNIITO employee, the founder and top manager of the company "Business Analytics" stole more than 1.3 billion rubles in organizing and delivering medical goods for the institution. The investigation believes that they concluded fictitious transactions in the amount of about 950 million rubles to legalize the receipt of funds.

The court arrested the property of the accused value of more than 1 billion rubles. One of the alleged accomplices is on the international wanted list.

Also in the case, the former director of NIITO Mikhail Sadova, who is under house arrest on charges of large -scale fraud. Earlier it was reported that we are talking about theft of funds for public procurement. The amount of estimated damage amounted to 500 million rubles.

On February 13, 2021, Sadovaya conditionally left the colony, where he was serving a deadline for embezzlement. The court sentenced him to 2.5 years in colony for the assignment of 10.7 million rubles from the premium fund of the institute. The State Duma deputy Alexander Karelin and Deputy Governor Sergey Semka advocated the softening of the sentence to the garden.
