Campina, a yogurt maker, is leaving the Russian market and all the company's assets will be transferred to the German dairy giant Ehrmann.
The Russian division of FrieslandCampina, which produces dairy products under the Campina brand, will become the property of Ehrmann, the company said in a statement (cited by RBC ).
Upon completion of the transaction, Ehrmann becomes the owner of 100% of Campina LLC, including all assets and liabilities of the company, and the most popular brands of FrieslandCampina - Fruttis and Nezhny - come under the control of Ehrmann. As FrieslandCampina explains, the deal will allow the company to "focus on consumer markets in other countries."
The deal must be approved by the antimonopoly authorities of Russia.
