In Arkhangelsk, the police came to Shiyes activist Olga Yelsakova when she received an assignment to complete the 45 hours of compulsory work assigned to her by the court. The reason for the visit was the woman's posts on VKontakte, reports . 7×7
The security forces, including one employee of the Center "E", met Elsakova at the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Arkhangelsk. At the same time, they did not specify what the activist is charged with and what posts they are talking about.
“The police said that they allegedly did not have any case materials in their hands. But they verbally stated that they were talking about several posts on VKontakte at once. At the same time, I don’t understand whether this is an administrative or criminal case. I took the 51st article of the Constitution, they will call the summons later. They didn’t detain me, I continue to work my hours, ”Yelsakova told 7 × 7.
Lawyer Oksana Vladyka, in a conversation with the publication, suggested that the activist could have left a critical comment about the police. The interlocutor of the publication noted that Elsakova is suing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Arkhangelsk because of her detention at a rally on January 31 in support of Alexei Navalny. Then, according to the lawyer, the security forces grabbed the woman by the arms and legs and dragged her away from the venue of the rally.
“Today's visit of the police, I believe, is nothing more than a response move by employees from the authorities to criticism against them. And it’s very easy to come up with a reason in our time. Alas, this is our life,” Vladyka added in an interview with 7×7.
