The cases of three accused under the “sanitary” article in connection with the rally in support of Navalny were transferred to court

The Prosecutor General's Office approved indictments in the “sanitary case” against Lyubov Sobol, Nikolai Lyaskin and Oleg Navalny, reports OVD-Info legal assistance coordinator Anna Romashchenko.

The case materials were transferred to the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. Public figures are accused of inciting violations of sanitary and epidemiological rules (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code with the use of Part 4 of Article 33 of the Criminal Code) due to actions for the release of Alexei Navalny.

It was previously reported that the cases of Lyaskin and Sobol were separated into separate proceedings. Lyubov Sobol's lawyer Vladimir Voronin said on Twitter that a non-disclosure agreement was falsified in the case materials.

The interests of Nikolai Lyaskin are represented by lawyer from OVD-Info Sergei Telnov.

• Public figures Lyubov Sobol, Nikolai Lyaskin, Oleg Navalny, Alexei Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh, head of the Doctors' Alliance Anastasia Vasilyeva, former coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters Oleg Stepanov, Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina, as well as municipal deputies Lyusa Stein, Dmitry Baranovsky and Konstantin Yankauskas. In addition, on April 22, it became known that the accused Dani Akel appeared in the case, who, according to the investigation, succumbed to the calls of the main accused and came to the rally, despite the fact that he was sick with coronavirus.
