The court fined Twitter another 19 million rubles for failure to fail for rallies

The World Court of the Tagansky district of Moscow on Thursday found the Twitter microblog service guilty of the commission of six administrative offenses on the failure of prohibited content with calls for participation in inconsistent shares, Interfax reports.

The total amount of fines assigned to the company amounted to 19 million rubles of the maximum possible 24 million. The court found the company guilty of all the administrative protocols considered under part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and set fines for three protocols of 9.5 million rubles (2.5 million, 3 million and the maximum 4 million rubles). The amount of the other three fines amounted to the same 9.5 million rubles.

In April, the court had already fined the Twitter microblog service for 8.9 million rubles for refusing to delete information with calls to minors to take part in the January unauthorized shares. Thus, the total amount of the latest fines for Twitter amounted to 27.9 million rubles.

Recall that this week the same court for three similar protocols fined Google 6 million rubles, and for five protocols - the Facebook social network, which was assigned fines for a total of 26 million rubles. On May 27, Google was fined another 3.5 million rubles according to one protocol, TASS reports. All fines were assigned for the failure of calls to participate in the January actions in support of Alexei Navalny.

In addition, the Tiktok service was fined for a similar offense for 2.6 million rubles earlier (on May 27 the company received a new fine of 1.5 million rubles), for 5 million - Telegram messenger, and VKontakte and Odnoklassniki social networks in March received fines of 1.5 million and 4 million rubles, respectively.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor slowed down access to the Twitter microblogging service in Russia. Roskomnadzor began slowing down Twitter on mobile and stationary devices on March 10. On the first day, the actions of the department, apparently, caused failures in the work of third -party sites and services, but in Roskomnadzor they did not notice problems. The decision to slow down the work of Twitter in Russia in Roskomnadzor was explained by the fact that the service does not delete the prohibited information at the request of the department. In mid -May, the department decided to partially cancel the slowdown in Twitter, since the service removed over 91% of prohibited information.
