Russia will give permission for the arrival of flights of European carriers on alternative routes overflying Belarus, learned RBC . The Federal Air Transport Agency held a meeting on this issue.
A source close to the Ministry of Transport said that in the near future Moscow will allow European airlines to fly around the neighboring republic when flying to Russia. According to the interlocutor of RBC, the country's current refusals to give permission to follow an alternative corridor is due to the fact that the authorities "needed to work out updated routes for airliners."
The publication writes that the issue of allowing European carriers to change the route of flights to Russia was discussed today at a meeting in the Federal Air Transport Agency.
