On May 29, the Chinese National Space Administration launched the Tianzhou-2 space truck, which should be fixed with the main Tianhe module created in orbit of the Chinese space station Tiangun.
The launch was carried out at 15 hours 55 minutes Moscow time from the Venchan cosmodrome (Hainan Province) using the Changzhen-7 launch vehicle, TASS reports. Initially, the launch of Tianzhou-2 was scheduled for May 19, but was postponed for technical reasons. The ship will deliver 4.69 tons of cargo and 1.95 tons of fuel to the Tianhe module, writes N+1 .

Recall that the Tianhe module was launched into orbit at the end of April. It consists of a dash-agency compartment, a residential module and a dock. The residential module is equipped with a kitchen and a toilet, computers, communication complexes with the command post and other equipment are also installed in it. This module is equipped with a gateway to enter outer space and can be used as an autonomous inhabited apparatus and laboratory.
The project of the Tiangun modular orbital station provides that two more laboratory modules (Vennyan and Mantryan) will be brought into the orbit. After the assembly of the station to the same orbit, the Syngtyan Autonomous Module will be displayed with an optical telescope.
According to the plan, the creation of a three-modulus station will fit in 11 launches in 2021-2022: three launches of modules, four launches of cargo spacecraft and four launches of manned spacecraft. In the near future, China plans to launch the Shenzhou-12 manned ship to the basic module with three taicunavians (astronauts) on board. The crew of the ship will engage in the unloading of the Tianzhou-2 ship and the preparation of the basic module for work.
It is assumed that after the completion of the preparatory work at the Tiangun station, three crew members will be able to be on an ongoing basis. Its life will be about 15 years.
