
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and General Director of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov opened the tenth railway station for long -distance trains - Vostochny in the capital. It was built as part of a large transport and transition unit "Cherkizovo", uniting the Cherkizovskaya station Sokolnichesky metro line, the Lokomotiv MCC station and ground city transport, the city hall website said.
According to Sobyanin, in Moscow "for the first time in 100 years, a full -fledged new station opens." It is expected that thanks to him the load on the Kursk station will decrease by 35%, and the Kurskaya metro station of the Kurskaya and Arbat-Pokrovskaya lines and the “Chkalovskaya” Lublin-Dmitrov line will be unloaded by 25 thousand passengers per day. The throughput of the Moscow-Kalanchevskaya-Moscow-Passengirskaya-Kurskaya, which is now almost exhausted, will also increase.
24 pairs of long -distance trains from the Kursk station, including the Swallow and Strizh trains, following the routes of Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow - Ivanovo were transferred to East. Transit trains following from St. Petersburg and Murmansk to Adler, Anapa, Belgorod, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Yeysk, Kislovodsk, Makhachkala, Novorossiysk, Chelyabinsk and other cities of Russia.
The total area of the new station complex is 9.6 thousand square meters. For passengers, a waiting room for 200 seats with USB boards, universal ticket cash desks, automatic storage rooms, food cort, mother and child rooms, a delegation hall, a business room, are equipped.
The station complex is equipped with Wi-Fi, modern ventilation, heating, air conditioning, fire and transport safety systems, escalators and elevators. The head of Russian Railways noted that the new station provides for the possibilities of contactless use of almost all elements, bactericidal disinfectants of escalators.
Among the innovations, Belozerov also called "Aromarketing". “Maybe now not everyone notices masks, but we wanted the stations to have a pleasant specific smell,” he explained.
The Vostochny station has exits towards the Cherkizovskaya metro station, the Railways Arena stadium and in the direction of the Shchelkovo highway. You can transfer to the metro and MCC through an above -ground glazed pedestrian crossing. After the opening of the eastern station, the passenger flow of the Cherkizovo transport hub is expected to grow to 75 thousand passengers per day.
