
The Ministry of Health of the Novosibirsk Region said that 19-year-old Vekil Abdullaev, who was shot in the head on the eve of the traffic police inspector, died in the hospital, Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the region’s Ministry of Health. According to the department, he died in intensive care.
Earlier it was reported that the victim was in extremely serious condition. “He was operated on upon admission. Today he died. The doctors did everything possible, everything depended on the patient. Heart stops,” Olesya Murashova, head physician of the Moshkovskaya district hospital, said to the publication.
According to preliminary data, on Friday evening, on the 61st km of the R-255 Sibir highway in the Moshkovsky district, the driver of the Toyota car did not stop at the request of the traffic police officer and continued to move.
The police began to pursue him. The car turned to the roadside hotel and stopped. Several people ran out of it and tried to hide. The police detained one of the offenders and accompanied the patrol car.
At this time, two of the hiding ones returned and tried to interfere with the police, one of them was active in resistance. The policeman took out a gun and during the fight against one of the violators there was an involuntary shot.
Police officers provided first aid to the victim and called a team of doctors who took him to the hospital. Two other offenders were taken to the police department for further proceedings.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Art. 286 (abuse of authority) and part 1 of Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing serious harm to health by negligence).
According to some reports, the police began the pursuit of the car due to the tinting of the glasses. The record of the incident got into the video and caused a large public outcry.
