According to the organizers, about 15 thousand people were supposed to take part in the half marathon. As the correspondent of Papers notes, at about 10:30 hundred athletes ran under the foundry and Kutuzov embankment. The first of them shouted: "Running is power!"

According to the results of the event, the organizers will determine the city, which will become the "running capital of Russia." The leader will be determined by three criteria: the average distance that all participants run, their ratio with the total number of citizens, as well as the average running speed of all participants.

“Paper” said that because of the half marathon “Rasty.rf” in St. Petersburg they will limit the movement of dozens of streets. So, until noon in St. Petersburg, the exchange line and the area of Likhachev, Birzheva and Tuchkov bridges, the Kronverkskaya and Mytninskaya Naberezhnye, exchange passage, part of the embankment of Makarov, Tiflisskaya Street and Volkhovsky passage will be blocked. In addition, until 12:30 there is a ban on traffic on Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt from Kuibyshev Street to Petrovskaya Embankment and on the entire Trinity Bridge.
