A report was drawn up against a Meduza correspondent for working at a rally without Foreign Ministry accreditation

The police drew up a report against correspondent Kristina Safonova for working at the protest rally on April 21 without accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Article 19.20 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by Meduza with reference to the coordinator of the “Human Rights Postcard” Alexey Pryanishnikov.

Meduza clarifies that the ministry accepted Safonova’s documents for accreditation back in October 2020. The publication has still not received a response from officials, although the Foreign Ministry was supposed to make a decision within two months.

Previously, police demanded that journalists from several publications who worked at the Moscow protests prove that they did not participate in the rallies.
