According to the FBK, the data of Navalny’s supporters were stolen from the Mailgan postal service, which the fund used to send letters to a large number of users at the same time. The entrance was made through an API-key, which was accessed by a limited number of employees. According to Supporters of Navalny, hacking could be made by a former FBK employee Fedor Gorozhanko.

According to the FBK, in April 2021, Gorozhanko contributed more than 1 million rubles in cash on his account. The fund assumes that this money can be a fee for a merged database.
