Security forces detained three residents of the Moscow region in connection with the murder of pensioners for the sake of apartments. This was reported by the local department of the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, since 2016, the suspects have been finding lonely pensioners in Elektrostal, getting them drunk and transferring their apartments to themselves. Former property owners were taken to the forest and abandoned there. “To date, the investigative authorities are aware of five such episodes. The murder of one of the pensioners was prevented,” the department’s press service said.
