"Children's Hospice" will open an institution for young adults in St. Petersburg. Some of the wards over 18 years old still remain children - there will be entertainment and a lot of communication

The Baby Hospice charity fund in the fall will open a medical institution for people who recently turned 18 in St. Petersburg - they are called young adults in the organization. This was reported to the Paper ’s press service on June 1, on the International Children's Day.

The hospice for young adults will open in Pushkin. The institution will be equipped with separate medical rooms and rooms for therapy, administrative and warehouse corps, verandas and large halls, in which wards will be able to spend time together. The hospice will be designed for 15 patients.

The fund explains that now adolescents who have reached the age of 18 years are moving from children's hospice to adults. Moreover, sometimes they psychologically remain children, thus falling into uncomfortable conditions. According to representatives of the Fund, the hospice for young adults will be organized in the same way as children's - there will be entertainment events and a lot of communication.

The press service of the Paper Foundation clarified that the delivery of the facility is planned in October this year.

On June 1, the "Children's Hospice" turns 18 years old. In the early 2000s it was founded by Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko. The Fund was the first in Russia to provide palliative assistance and build hospices.
