Novosibirsk deputy mayor of the city Anna Tereshkova held her absurd and apolitical action - "Yo -Maevovka", despite the ban on public events in force in the region. At the same time, it was in the city administration that the decision was previously decided not to coordinate monstration this year - a traditional youth procession with elements of the absurd carnival.
According to Siberia. Realities, the author of Monstration, the artist Artem Loskutov, it was Tereshkova who stated that the monsters in 2021 would not be due to the pandemic of coronavirus and restrictions introduced by the governor. He noted that he had already asked the official a question about the legality of the organization of "Yo-Maleovka".
“It is written that the event (“ yo -master ” - note. Ed.) Passes 10 times. I noticed the first. Well, my question was not a claim, but rather a joke. Maybe they gathered in the dacha with relatives and there are no anti -icing measures. The officials should answer the question of the rule of law. The fact that other public events are banned,” said Loskutov.
According to open data, “Yo-Maevovka” has been going on for several years. Earlier, its official organizer was called the "Premier Club", and Dmitry and Anna Tereshkova, ideological inspirers. The event was held to "unite caring citizens of the city of all nationalities, political parties and religions in a single impulse of solidarity and positive."
This year, monstance in Novosibirsk was online. The regional authorities extended an increased readiness regime for another month due to the threat of coronavirus infection and banned all public events.
The first monstance - a youth procession with elements of the absurd carnival took place in Novosibirsk in 2004. In 2011, Loskutov received a prize in the field of contemporary art "Innovation" from the State Center for Contemporary Art for his project. By 2019, 30 cities joined the action, but not everywhere it managed to coordinate it with the local authorities, so the participants of the event were often detained by the police.
The authorities of Novosibirsk have repeatedly denied the participants in the procession in the declared route along the central streets. In 2015, riot police blocked the path of Red Prospekt. Artyom Loskutov several times brought to administrative responsibility for holding an unauthorized event. However, for the past few years, the city hall has been assisted in conducting a procession and recognized it with a city event.
