During a live broadcast on Instagram after the meeting, Morgenstern emphasized that the lines of the songs that caused the complaints were performed by another rapper, Yung Trappa: “They were judged for lines that I did not say or sing.” The defense also tried to prove to the court that Morgenstern’s YouTube channel is administered not by him, but by another person, but the court refused to interview him or include the interview protocol drawn up by the defense.

The defense rejected all 13 of the submitted motions. Lawyer Zhorin, in particular, demanded that the court order additional linguistic examinations.

The protocol against the musician was drawn up after a complaint from the leader of the Anti-Diller movement and former LDPR deputy Dmitry Nosov. “After the broadcast of this evil spirit, aimed at seven-year-old children, we realized that this performer had crossed all boundaries. Few people had crossed them before him. This is aimed at first graders who are just starting to read. I sincerely hope that the administrative charge will develop into a criminal case,” he told Novaya Gazeta.

At the beginning of May, the director of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, announced the cancellation of Morgenstern’s concert in St. Petersburg due to complaints from parent organizations. According to her, “they are concerned about the possible continuation of drug propaganda among children by this performer.”
