“Petrov in the flu” - co -products of Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland. The film, like Roman, contains different styles and genres: black and white cinema and color, reality and grotesque, comics and life, farce and tragedy, retro and modernity. Serebrennikov has powerful competitors - directors with world names: Leos Carax, Ildiko Enidi, Paul Verkhoven, Nadav Lapid, Jacques Odiar, Apichatpong Virasetakul, Wes Anderson, Nanny Moretti, Francois Ozone, Asgar Farhadi.

The competition also has the film by the Finnish director Yuho Kuosmanen “Coupe number six”, created with the participation of the CTV film company (joint production of Finland, Estonia, Russia and Germany) in the main male role - Yura Borisov, Russian dialogs: Lyubov Matmenko.

The " case" of Alexei German Jr. The original name of the film "30 days, 30 nights". This is the story of a university teacher in one small city. The hero is trying to fight for justice, defending his ideals, a name, and it happens, and the right to life. The filming took place in the conditions of the pandemic, due to which the German Jr. suspended work on the military film "Air", and took only 25 days.

The film by Kira Kovalenko (Sofichka), a student of Alexander Sokurov, and producer Alexander Rodnyansky , "Inserting Fists".

“The first impulse to create this story was the phrase from Faulkner’s novel“ The Defender of the Poach, ”says the director, that few can withstand slavery, but no one is able to withstand freedoms. For me, the topic of freedom as a burden has become the most important for the time of work on this film. The burden of freedom inevitably led me to thoughts about the burden of memory and their connection. ” This family plot unfolds in a small mining town of North Ossetia.

Sergey Loznitsa is a Ukrainian director of Belarusian origin, living in Germany in recent years. His full -length documentary “Babi Yar” will be shown as part of the special shows program. The film was created on the basis of the documentary of the same name, developed by the Loznitsa along with the memorial center of the Holocaust "Babi Yar".
