In the rural settlement of Russko-Vysotskoye (Leningrad Region), on June 3, the magistrate of court district No. 50 fined Dmitry Skurikhin, a former activist of the liquidated organization Open Russia, 15 thousand rubles. This was reported by Sever.Realii.

Skurikhin was found guilty of carrying out the activities of an “undesirable organization” (Article 20.33 of the Administrative Code). The reason for this was a post on VKontakte: Skurikhin published a video where he “acts as an activist of Open Russia.”

“I explained to them while drawing up the protocol that these are different organizations, that we are not Trotskyists and not terrorists. But they thought it didn't mean anything. Today at the trial, the prosecutor managed to somehow explain to the court that I am not one of the best activists of Open Russia, but a member of that evil British organization . The prosecutor said that I wear a T-shirt with the symbols of Open Russia. Although I designed this T-shirt myself. The judge didn’t listen to me at all,” the publication quoted Dmitry Skurikhin as saying.
