Picket participant Yana Antonova was detained in the Moscow police department. She came out with a poster in support of Roman Protasevich and Sofya Sapieha, who were arrested in Belarus. This was reported by her lawyer from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov.
Antonova stood with a banner "Free Sofia Sapega" at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 31. Then she was detained , taken to the department and released on a promise to appear.
On June 7, together with a lawyer, the activist came to the police station. The employees did not find in her actions a violation of the rally legislation (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), but they saw a failure to comply with the requirements for ensuring transport security (Part 3 of Article 11.15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Antonova is going to be taken to the Court District of the Magistrate No. 375. Her interests will be represented by a lawyer from OVD-Info, Alexander Salamov.
According to the protocol, Antonova “stood on the top platform of the marching stairs and attracted the attention of an indefinite circle of people <…>, significantly narrowing the place for the unhindered passage of passengers, thereby creating conditions for the crossing of passenger flows, violating the organization of passenger flows.” The police noted that on the day of the picket there were more than 23,000 passengers at the Smolenskaya metro station, and the actions of the picketer “in the event of a large crowd of passengers could cause harm to life or health of people.”
17:40 The judge adjourned the meeting for an indefinite period to get acquainted with the case materials. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov.
