A picketer with a poster “Hands off DOXA” was detained near the Basmanny Court

Police in Moscow detained Socialist Alternative activist Vasily Radaev, who was standing near the Basmanny District Court with a poster “Hands off DOXA.” He himself told OVD-Info about this.

At the moment, Radaev was taken to the police department in the Krasnoselsky district. It is not yet known what he is charged with. A lawyer from OVD-Info, Sergei Telnov, went to his department.

The Basmanny Court is currently considering appeals against preventive measures against DOXA editors Alla Gutnikova, Natasha Tyshkevich, Armen Aramyan and Vladimir Metelkin.

19:15 Vasily Radaev was released from the police department without a protocol, says lawyer Sergei Telnov. Initially, the police planned to draw up a protocol on participation in an uncoordinated action (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), but did not do this, but handed Radaev an obligation to appear on June 15.

On June 15, a report was drawn up against Vasily Radaev under an article on violation of the rules of holding a rally (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). At the Krasnoselsky district police department, his interests were represented by lawyer Sergei Telnov, who collaborates with OVD-Info.

• On the morning of April 14, four journalists from the student publication DOXA - Armen Aramyan, Alla Gutnikova, Vladimir Metelkin and Natalia Tyshkevich - were searched. After that, they were taken for interrogation to the Investigative Committee, and then to the court for a hearing to select a preventive measure: all four were given a ban on certain actions with strict restrictions.
• Journalists are accused of involving minors in activities that are dangerous to them (Article 151.2 of the Criminal Code). A criminal case was opened because of a DOXA video in which the publication’s participants addressed students - they urged them not to be afraid of threats of expulsion for participating in rallies. Subsequently, the magazine's editors deleted this video at the request of Roskomnadzor. The head of Alexei Navalny’s network of headquarters, Leonid Volkov, is involved in the same case: according to the investigation, after Volkov published the video “How can we get Navalny out of prison,” DOXA employees, against the backdrop of active discussions on social networks, had an intention “to support the above calls and create own publications."
