The prosecutor asked for 14 to 19 years in prison for the defendants in the Alushta Hizb ut-Tahrir case.

In Rostov-on-Don, the prosecution at a meeting of the Southern District Military Court requested from 14 to 19 years in prison for the defendants in the Alushta case of Hizb ut-Tahrir. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of Grata.

For the accused Lenur Khalilov, the prosecutor requested 19 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of liberty for a year and 9 months, for Ruslan Mesutov - 18 years in a strict regime colony and restriction of liberty for a year and 9 months. The person involved in the case, Ruslan Nagaev, was asked for 15 years in a strict regime colony and restriction of freedom for a year and a half, and Eldar Kantimirov - 14 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of freedom for a year. In addition, the prosecution also asked the court to lift the arrest on the property of the defendants.

• Lenur Khalilov, Ruslan Mesutov, Ruslan Nagaev and Eldar Kantimirov were detained after mass searches in June 2019. Khalilov and Mesutov are accused under the article on organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Nagaev and Kantimirova are accused under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code). Also, everyone is charged with preparing for the violent overthrow of power (part 1 of article 278 of the Criminal Code with the note of article 30 of the Criminal Code).
• Hizb ut-Tahrir was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia by a court decision. In different regions of the country, as well as in Crimea, cases of terrorism are initiated, while members of the cells of the organization are accused and sentenced to various terms in a strict regime colony only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new members.
