The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested for two months blogger Yuri Khovansky, suspected of calling for terrorist activities for a song about the Nord-Ost, a correspondent of the Sever. Reali site reports.

About 20 journalists of state and independent publications, several listeners and relatives of Khovansky came to the court, as they were suppressed. The bailiffs did not let most media employees into the courtroom, referring to the lack of places for listeners because of the coronavirus. After the court officially stopped the working day, journalists and listeners were expelled from the building. At the same time, the meeting, as they suppress Khovansky at that time, had not yet ended.
Among the listeners who tried to get to the meeting, the correspondent of the Sever. Reali managed to chat with two who came. The programmer Alexander (he refused to name his surname) believes that each of us can be in the place of Khovansky. These are just words. We have a constitution that protects freedom of speech. In order to blame a person under Article 205.2 ( public calls to carry out terrorist activities or a public justification of terrorism - under this article, the accusation was made against Khovansky - SR ), he must do more than just words, ”said Alexander.
“I think there is intimidation of society. Any media personality, not even pretty to you personally, must be supported, otherwise we will be the next,” the Petersburger Michael, who came to support Khovansky, shared the opinion.

Khovansky was detained the day before in St. Petersburg. The blogger was detained because of the video in which the blogger sings a song about the Nord-Ost. The video appeared on YouTube about a year ago. The investigation believes that in the song that Khovansky sang, there are public calls for terrorist activities. Khovansky pleaded guilty.

The capture of the theater center on Dubrovka during the presentation of the musical "Nord-Ost" occurred on October 23, 2002. Three days later, the authorities interrupted negotiations with terrorists and went to storm the building. As a result of the special operation, according to official figures, 130 people were killed, according to the Nord-Ost public organization-174 people, more than 700 were injured. The cause of the death of many hostages was the gas launched into the premises, the composition of which is still classified.
