The first match of the European Football Championship has begun

The first match of the European Football Championship began at 22:00 Moscow time. It will feature the national teams of Turkey and Italy, playing in Group A.

The game is taking place at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. The match is being shown on Channel One.

Updated : The match ended with a 3:0 victory for the Italian team.

• For the first time in history, Euro 2020 is being held not in one or two neighboring countries, but on the territory of 10 countries in 11 cities. The semi-finals and final of the tournament will be played in London.
• Among the cities that will host matches of the tournament is St. Petersburg. It will host six group stage games and one of the quarterfinals.
• The Russian team is in Group B together with Belgium, Finland and Denmark. The games with Belgium (June 12, 22:00 Moscow time) and Finland (June 16, 16:00 Moscow time) will be held in St. Petersburg, and the games with Denmark (June 21, 22:00 Moscow time) will be held in Copenhagen.
