Rospotrebnadzor proposed to cancel the requirement to take two tests for COVID-19 upon entry for Russians who have been ill or have been vaccinated

Rospotrebnadzor has proposed lifting the requirement to take two PCR tests when entering the country for those Russians who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus or who have antibodies. The document was published on the portal of draft legal acts.

At the same time, the entrant must report the presence of antibodies or the vaccination done through the State Services portal. Currently, after entering Russia, everyone must pass two tests for coronavirus within five days. The interval between them should be at least a day.

At the same time, the chief state sanitary doctor of Russia, Anna Popova, suggested sending all those entering the country for self-isolation until they receive a second test for COVID-19. It is currently optional.

The requirement to take a PCR test came into effect with the resumption of international flights in August last year. It initially concerned only those citizens who arrived in Russia by plane. From April 15, the requirement was renewed for arrivals by any mode of transport.
