From June 17, new restrictions have been introduced in St. Petersburg

Since June 17, new coronavirus restrictions have been introduced in St. Petersburg. The corresponding order was signed by the Governor of the city, Alexander Beglov .

Most restrictions concerning the work of public catering and shopping centers:

• From Thursday, catering establishments will be banned to serve guests from 2:00 to 6:00, only delivery or work is possible.
• The work of food courts and food players is suspended, the exception was made for those located at stations, at the airport, at the gas station, and also for work for delivery.
• In catering establishments, entertainment measures cannot be carried out.
• In restaurants and cafes, children's rooms are temporarily closed.
• In shopping centers, the work of children's rooms, trading on islands, work of leisure facilities with the exception of water parks, oceanariums, cinemas, libraries, and fitness centers are suspended.

In addition, from 75 % to 50 %, the permitted capacity of cinema halls decreases, and the maximum number of participants in cultural and entertainment events cannot exceed 3 thousand people. The authorities also abolished the holiday of graduates of the Ball of Medalists.

Visitors to all events of more than 5 thousand people and guests of the fan zone are required to wear masks. In fan zones, they will ban the trade in food, but drinks will remain on sale.

Employers must actualize information about employees who have not switched to remote mode, as well as transfer as many employees as possible to a remotes.

The authorities are going to cancel the QR codes previously issued to entrepreneurs in case of violations-raids will be organized to identify them. In addition, Smolny plans to take measures to “stimulate vaccination from coronavirus among workers.”

The authorities also recommended strengthening the disinfection of surfaces.
