The Southern District Military Court refused to re-acquaint with the case materials the defendants in the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir Ruslan Suleymanov, Osman Arifmemetov, Rustem Sheikhaliev, Enver Ametov and Yashar Muedinov. This is reported by "Crimean Solidarity" with reference to the lawyer Lilya Gemedzhi.
The defense filed a petition for re-examination of the materials due to the fact that the defendants were actually unable to familiarize themselves with the evidence of the prosecution, which the prosecutor had already begun to read out during the meetings. The court stated that it was unable to ensure familiarization with the case in the pre-trial detention center where the defendants were being held. Also, the participants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case were deprived of the opportunity to familiarize themselves before the court session due to problems with the delivery of men to the court. The escort service was delayed and the meeting began with an hour and a half delay.
On June 10, the hearing in the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir, which was supposed to take place in the Southern District Military Court, was postponed to June 17 due to the deterioration in the health of the accused Servet Gaziev.
