In Arkhangelsk, the court arrested a local resident for 10 days because of a comment on a social network

A court in Arkhangelsk found local resident Ruslan Akhmetshin guilty under the article on inciting hatred or enmity (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of a comment on VKontakte. It is reported by MBH Media with reference to lawyer Oksana Vladyka.

Akhmetshin was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.

“In September 2020, after the gubernatorial elections, when Tsybulsky, a representative of United Russia, was elected, there were certain comments on Ruslan Akhmetshin’s page criticizing voters who did not come to the polls. Turnout was 30%. He wrote that it was a shame. Emotional comments on the results of the elections were allowed on Ruslan's page.
