The National Security Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against the CEO of the Russian state corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov. this President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on his Telegram channel.
In addition, Ukraine has imposed personal sanctions against Mikhail Shelkov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash, and Russian and Ukrainian businessman Pavel Fuks.
The decision to introduce a “complete package of sanctions” against Firtash and Fuks was announced by NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov. He explained that the restrictive measures for Firtash are connected with his participation in the titanium business and the supply of raw materials, which were sent to Russian military enterprises. Sanctions against Fuks, according to Danilov, were introduced due to his involvement in illegally obtaining licenses for mining.
Zelensky did not specify the reason for the imposition of sanctions against Chemezov and Shelkov.
The NSS of Ukraine also applied sanctions against four legal entities and six individuals "affiliated with the special services of the Russian Federation." According to the department, these individuals are involved in the development of components of the NotPetya virus.
