The Ministry of Justice has suspended state registration of the PARNAS party until September 2021. The reason was “technical shortcomings” in the documentation. This was reported on the party's website.
In their statement, party members indicated that immediately after the Central Election Commission approved the list of parties for the State Duma elections, the Ministry of Justice notified PARNAS that registration was suspended for a period of 3 months.
According to the party, “the temporary suspension of the state registration of the party is a new instrument of illegal restriction of the electoral and political rights of citizens, which became part of the campaign to completely clear the electoral field of political forces who disagree and are disloyal to the current government.”
14:35 According to Open Media, the Ministry of Justice’s claims against the PARNAS party are related to cooperation with Open Russia and FBK.
