Putin at the Congress of EP asked future deputies to allocate money

The pre -election congress of the United Russia party took place on June 19 at the Moscow Expocenter. Party leader Dmitry Medvedev announced that 972 delegates participated in the forum - this is three times less than originally expected. The reason for the decrease in the number of delegates was restrictions in connection with the next strengthening of the epidemic of coronavirus infection in Russia.

At the beginning of the congress, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was not formally not in the party, spoke to its participants. He spoke a significant part of his speech about the instructions that the government should fulfill. It was about the appropriations for medical rehabilitation, and on the development of education, and on road repair. Road repair should be made before the election, in the summer season.

Another 150 billion rubles should be allocated for "modernization of life support systems." Putin explained that he spoke about this at the party congress, because, as he put it, it is impossible to solve the issue with the budget without parliament.

The President of Russia called on members of United Russia to show an example of an “open political competition” in the upcoming election campaign.

In recent months and weeks, the Russian authorities have taken many legislative and judicial measures to exclude their main political opponents from the campaign. The remaining several independent and opposition media have repeatedly noted that Putin did everything to deprive his opponents even the minimum opportunities to participate in the formation of the Russian parliament.
