A few days ago, on June 15, Denis Protsenko said on RT that he was not going to run for the State Duma. "I am a doctor, I am not a politician," he explained, noting that he had not been offered to run. "I do not feel that I have the legislative potential, even in the area of healthcare," Protsenko said.

On June 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed candidates for the top five of the party's federal list for the State Duma elections at the United Russia congress. These are Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, physician Denis Protsenko, head of the Sirius educational center Elena Shmeleva, and children's ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova. Party Chairman Dmitry Medvedev did not make it into the top five.
