Leonblast: Authorities introduce covid passports for business

In the Leningrad Region there will be passports of "coronavirus security" for business. The introduction of a document in the region was announced by Governor Alexander Drozdenko, the regional government said .

According to the head of the region, in order to receive a covid passport, organizations must be submitted to the administration of their district a document that 80 percent of employees are “safe”, that is, vaccinated, have been ill of the SVID-19 over the past 6 months, have antibodies or medical readings from vaccinations. The passport will allow companies to work without coronavirus restrictions. Drozdenko emphasized that the procedure is voluntary.

The order on the procedure for issuing covid passports will be signed before the end of the week. In July, it is planned to start this public service in the MFC system.

Earlier it was reported that the Leningrad Region authorities obliged employers to vaccinate from coronavirus to 80% of employees by the fall. The same number of civil servants should be vaccinated before September 1.

• Due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection in the regions of Russia, mandatory vaccination and new restrictive measures began to be introduced. The first region where mandatory vaccination was introduced by Moscow. It was followed by the suburbs, Kuzbass, Leningrad, Tver and Sakhalin regions, as well as Tula, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Murmansk region.
• The Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatyana Moskalkova, called the obligatory vaccination "dishonest game." She noted that in general, the idea of vaccination is correct, but "coercion gives rise to mass psychosis." In her opinion, threats in relation to those who do not want to vaccinated can be considered as a violation of human rights.
