We turn to you in a case that concerns one of the cornerstone institutions in the field of Russian culture. We are talking about the fate of the world's largest theater museum - the State Central Theater Museum named after A. A. Bakhrushin.

By order of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, on June 21, its director Dmitry Rodionov, who worked in the museum for thirteen years, gave a powerful impetus to its development. Under him, the Bakhrushin estate in Moscow blossomed, new branches appeared in the capital and expositions of representative offices in the province, a powerful positive resonance was caused by the projects of the Biennale of Theater Arts and a prize in the field of literature on the theater Roman. Educational activity covered the whole of Russia, increased the prestige of the museum in the international arena.

One of the main achievements of D.V. Rodionov is the program of the general reconstruction of the museum and the creation of a theater quarter.

All this grandiose work is practically crossed out by the decision of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. K. D. Trubinova, a student of the magistracy of the Theater Faculty of GITIS, was appointed to Rodionov's place.

D.V. Rodionov, the Ministry of Culture proposed to directly subordinate K. D. Trubinova to the fictitious position of the president of the museum. Of course, he refused such a proposal.

We, the notorious cultural figures, are deeply convinced that a serious personnel mistake has been committed, which can cause damage to fruitful activity and the prestige of a world -famous museum. We convincingly ask you to figure out the current situation.

Dismissal from the post of General Director of the theater museum named after A. A. Bakhrushin D.V. Rodionov and the appointment of K. D. Trubinova in his place is still a scandal of the day. The head of the Union of Theater Workers, People's Artist of Russia A. A. Kalyagin spoke yesterday on this occasion (“New Gazeta”, No. 67), he was already supported by theatrical Russia.

In the MK and in the news agencies yesterday, a version of the Ministry of Culture appeared: supposedly Rodionov was appointed president of the museum, and K. D. Trubinov in his place. Rodionov denied this version ("New", No. 67). Today, the Ministry of Culture issued the following version: supposedly Rodionov terminated preliminary agreements with the Ministry of Culture and unexpectedly abandoned the President’s post. Evidence is not provided.

History is developing. During the work of K. D. Trubinova, 46 people left the Bakhrushinsky Museum. The last remaining specialists are going to exit.

From the scientific council of the museum, the outcome began. “What a shame, sticky, nasty, repeated, like“ pharmacy, street, lantern ”! We swam, we know, but after all, everything is replicated with an unshakable force! Wrote in the GCTM named after A. A. Bakhrushin an appeal through private channels - to exclude me from the academic council and all planned projects. I will not add anymore. In Bakhrushinsky there will no longer be a “Theater Roman” award. Several alleged donors thought about the fate of their gift. A number of projects have been suspended.
