In Tatarstan, the court upheld the claim of the organizer of a rally against pension reform against the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The city court of Naberezhnye Chelny satisfied the claim against the Ministry of Internal Affairs Raushan Valiullin, the organizer of the 2018 rally against pension reform. This is reported by the "Apology of Protest" with reference to the lawyer Alexander Peredruk.

The court ruled to recover from the Ministry of Internal Affairs 10,000 rubles as compensation for non-pecuniary damage for illegal bringing to administrative responsibility. In the wake of the rally in 2018, a protocol was drawn up against Valiullina under the “rally” article (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), however, the court did not find an administrative offense in the actions of the organizer of the event.

Previously, the courts refused Valiullin to award compensation, but the Supreme Court of Tatarstan recognized these decisions as illegal and ruled to consider the claim again.

• In 2018, Ilmir Shakurov, Raushan Valiullin and Dmitry Teterin planned to hold a rally against the pension reform and VAT increase, scheduled for June 1, but officials did not agree to it. Subsequently, the Supreme Court of Tatarstan found the actions of the administration employees illegal. All three in the spring of 2018, the court decided to pay 10 thousand rubles each as compensation.
