The investigator did not extend the preventive measure for the defendant in the “sanitary case” Konstantin Jankauskas

The investigator did not extend the preventive measure for the municipal deputy of the Zyuzino district, Konstantin Yankauskas. This was reported by lawyer Ilya Utkin, who collaborates with OVD-Info.

FSIN officers removed Yankauskas’s bracelet and took away the “station” from his house, which tracks the movements of the accused. At the same time, the procedural status of the Mundep has not changed.

Yankauskas is accused of “inciting violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, creating a threat of mass disease of people” (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code with the use of Part 4 of Article 33 of the Criminal Code) at the rally on January 23 in support of Alexei Navalny. The reason for this was the publication on Twitter “One for all and all for one” in support of Navalny on January 18.

On April 8, the court canceled Yankauskas’ house arrest, replacing the preventive measure with a ban on certain actions: the accused was not allowed to leave the house from 20:00 to 6:00, communicate with other defendants in the case, or send and receive mail.

• As part of the same criminal case, nine more people are accused: FBK politician and lawyer Lyubov Sobol, Alexei Navalny’s brother Oleg Navalny, Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh, FBK supporter Nikolai Lyaskin, Pussy Riot member Maria Alekhina, as well as municipal deputies Lyusya Stein and Dmitry Baranovsky, head of the Doctors' Alliance Anastasia Vasilyeva and former coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters Oleg Stepanov. In addition, on April 22, it became known that a defendant had appeared in the case, who, according to the investigation, succumbed to the calls of the main accused and came to the rally, despite the fact that he was sick with coronavirus.
