Thanks to Andrei Zvyagintsev's film, hundreds of thousands of people learned about the beauty of the North. And we simply could not let such a unique exhibit go to waste. With the help of our friends from Moscow, we agreed with the owner and took the skeleton from the industrial site.

The governor said that six restorers carefully restored the structure for four months, after which they brought it to the coast of the Barents Sea.

Judging by the photo posted by Chibis, a fake skeleton of a whale was installed near one of the local restaurants.

A metal structure reproducing the huge skeleton of a whale appeared in several shots in Leviathan next to the dilapidated ships. As Andrei Zvyagintsev, the author of the film, said in 2015, after filming, a businessman from Moscow bought the scenery and installed it on the lawn near his house. In November 2020, the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis , announced that the whale skeleton was returned thanks to the Moscow government.
