The end of the Raccoon Corp: the treasurer of the "national-patriotic" group received 10 years of a maximum security colony

In Tuapse, the court sentenced a resident of Moscow to Vladimir Morozov, one of the activists of the Millard organization "Raccoon Corp". He was found guilty of participating in the criminal community, as well as extortion using violence and sentenced to ten and a half years in a maximum security colony. Morozov considers the investigation as an ideologist and treasurer “Raccoon Corp”. The group, as established by the verdict, was a criminal community. This is not the first trial in cases related to Raccoon Corp, and definitely not the last one: in the near future, the trial of several more group participants will begin in Moscow.

Vladimir Morozov was involved in an attack on the house of Tuapse resident Peter Suponev. As Kommersant reported , in August 2018, Denis Karaban and Vasily Minchik entered the courtyard of the house of Suponev, locked his wife in the garage, after which, having beaten the owner, they demanded that he transfer the rights to the land to another person. The attackers turned out to be members of the Enot Corp organization, created with the aim of military-patriotic education of youth.

Morozov, as the treasurer of the group, handed over to Karaban and Minchik the “fee” for extortion: 150 thousand rubles. According to the investigation and the court agreed with him, the “raccoons” took orders for an informal search for debtors and surveillance of people, and also engaged in attacks on citizens and the prediction of property. Minchik and Karaban received deadlines earlier than frosts - they were sentenced to four and eight years, respectively.

“Raccoon Corp” (“Unified folk communal partnerships”, in the publications of various media there are also options for writing “E.N.O.T.” and “Enot”) is sometimes called a private military company. But this is far from the truth. Perhaps, at a certain stage, “raccoons” dreamed of becoming an army of mercenaries, similar to at least “Wagner PMC”, but they did not have enough material or administrative resources. It was not possible to obtain the necessary “roof” in the law enforcement agencies and in the political leadership of the country “raccoons” for the mercenary army.

“Raccoon Corp” became widely known in “national-patriotic” circles during the active stage of war in the east of Ukraine, in 2014-2015-activists delivered humanitarian aid to the Donbass. After the transition of the conflict to the smoldering phase, “raccoons” (like most supporters of the “Russian world”) again had to transfer their activity to Russian territory. In the Russian Federation, Races again, as before the Ukrainian war, began to organize “military-patriotic fees” for adolescents. But the resources for the development of the organization were increasingly difficult to find. According to a number of former “raccoons” who left the organization, the cause of growing difficulties was the ambitions and errors of the head of “Raccoon Corp” by Roman Teenkevich (aka Water ”). Tearing off the connections with the influential “Union of Volunteers of Donbass”, a reporting relations with Vladislav Surkov and Alexander Boroday, not managing to establish productive cooperation with Konstantin Malofeev, the “raccoon Corp” was more and more isolated and took on increasingly dirty work on the lower floors of the Russian power corporation.

Raccoons were issued as assistants to investigators MMST (Moscow Interregional Investigation Department in Transport) of the Investigative Committee and as technical specialists of the FSB, participated in searches and in various raids.

In 2016, the Chekists and the raccoons they attracted to cooperation held a raid against a group of smugglers who illegally imported smartphones into Russia. As Medusa said in their investigation , the FSB officers later managed to get into information about the possible money laundering in this scheme with bank cards stolen by hackers - millions of dollars could pass through such a channel. But at this stage of the investigation, the operatives sharply “hit the hands” - an internal check began against them themselves, the Chekists cut off all the contacts with the “raccoons”. The “raccoons” lost the “roofs” also hit. They were taken into development by a specialized epiphesion department, which has already committed it with many “national-patriotic” organizations: the Office for the Protection of the Constitutional Original. Soon, the Races began to be arrested one after another.

The main criminal case against the “raccoons” will be considered in the 2nd Western Military Court in Moscow. Five alleged members of the group will appear before the court: Ivan Kovalenko, Alexei Konovalov, Mikhail Maksimov and Oleg Okheretny. They are accused of participating in an organized criminal community, banditry, robbery and theft. In addition, a former FSB officer Alexander Mrishchuk, according to investigators, who led the criminal community, will appear before the court. The court will be held with the participation of the jury.
