The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bashkortostan demands to recover more than 1.1 million rubles from Ufa activist Olga Komleva due to her work during the protests on January 31. This was reported by the human rights project “Apology of Protest”, whose lawyer will represent Komleva’s interests in court.
In her lawsuit, the police demand that the activist pay for the extracurricular work of 471 Interior Ministry employees at protests in support of Alexei Navalny. According to law enforcement officers, Komleva is the organizer of the protest event.
Previously, police filed similar lawsuits in Yaroslavl , Penza , Kirov , Kemerovo , Omsk and Chelyabinsk .
At least 57 people were detained in Ufa on January 31.
