The Basmanny Court of Moscow gave the arrest of Viktor Baturin in the criminal case of attempted fraud on an especially large scale (Article 30 and part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). And for many years, brother and sister have been accusing each other of falsification of documents.

From a copy submitted by Viktor Baturin to the Arbitration Court, it followed that Elena Baturina had the right to dispose of only 75 percent of Inteko shares, while 25 percent remained in the ownership of her brother. In the consideration of the lawsuit, the court then Baturin refused, considering that he was not an Inteko shareholder. Elena Baturina once won a tactical victory in the battle with her brother: in 2013, the Gagarinsky district court sentenced Viktor Baturin to seven years in colony, finding him guilty of committing fraud with the bills that he demanded to pay. In February of this year, in the lawsuit continuing in Austria for the fourth year, an event took place that sharply increased the chances of Victor to get 13 billion rubles from his sister: the Austrian expert criminalist Christian Grafle completed the handwriting and documentary study of the samples presented to the court by the parties, and even came to the conclusion that the signatures of Elena Baturina to Baturina Both copies of documents are made with one hand. But the signature of Viktor Baturin on the copy of the contract by Elena Baturina, according to the Austrian expert, was made not by her brother.

The examination was ordered when the A1, which is included in the “Alfa-Group”, joined the lawsuit in Austria on the side of Viktor Baturin, which provides comprehensive financial and legal services in Western jurisdictions. And now, when the court litigation in Austria reached the finish line, Viktor Baturin was in the Russian prison cell, and will no longer be able to personally attend court hearings in the Innsbruck.

A piquant moment. The act committed by Viktor Baturin and became the basis for initiating the current criminal case, took place on October 4, 2011.
