Jeff Bezos is no longer CEO of Amazon. On the 27th anniversary of the company's founding

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has stepped down as the company's CEO. It is reported by The Verge with reference to information on the site for investors Amazon.

Investor filings list Andy Jesse, who previously headed Amazon Web Services, as the company's new CEO.

Bezos was the CEO of Amazon for exactly 27 years - from the day the company was founded on July 5, 1994. He now serves as executive chairman of Amazon's board of directors.

• On July 20, Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark will take part in a suborbital sightseeing flight for space tourists on Blue Origin's New Shepard. For Blue Origin, which Bezos founded, this will be the first such flight.
• Along with Jeff and Mark Bezos, American aviator Wally Funk and another participant who bought a ticket for New Shepard for $28 million will take part in the suborbital flight. His name is still unknown.
