Former FBK operator Pavel Zelensky, convicted in the case of calls for extremism, was transported from pre-trial detention center No. 3 in an unknown direction. His wife Natalia Zelenskaya reported this on Twitter.

On April 16, the Tushinsky District Court found Zelensky guilty under the article on calls for extremism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to two years in prison. On June 1, the appeal court reduced this period by a month.

A criminal case was opened against a former FBK operator because of two tweets he wrote after the self-immolation of journalist Irina Slavina in October 2020. One post included the phrase “Let’s ******* [beat] this lack of power.” Another tweet said: “I hate you, Putin, Peskov, Volodin, and other scum, you are behind this. You can consider my words a call, but you are bitch bastards unworthy of life” (spelling preserved - OVD-Info ).

On January 15, 2021, Pavel Zelensky was detained after a search in his apartment and sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months, but on February 24, the former FBK operator was transferred to house arrest. During the investigation, Zelensky fully admitted his guilt, later stating that he did it consciously.
