The court granted the claim of the former employee of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences to the SK in the trace of the criminal case

The court in Moscow satisfied the lawsuit of the former employee of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexei Kasyan to the UK, in which the doctor of philological sciences demanded to appoint him compensation for the things lost after the search and seizure. This was reported by the "human rights cards" with reference to the lawyers Oleg Eliseeva and Oksana Oparenko.

In June 2018, they came home to Alexei Kasyan with a search as part of the case of initiating hatred or enmity (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, Kasyan placed a post in LJ, which contained signs of enmity against Asians, Caucasians and groups of persons distinguished by the aggregate of national and religious features.

According to “Human Rights Cards”, it was about publication with the mention of the nanny Gulchekhra Bobokulova. In 2016, she was accused of killing a four -year -old girl she was looking after.

In 2019, lawyer Sergei Badamshin achieved the termination of the case against Kasyan in connection with the partial decriminalization of the 282nd article of the Criminal Code.

The scientist, along with the lawyers of the “human rights” filed a civil lawsuit against the UK, since after the completion of the criminal prosecution, law enforcement officers could not return the things seized from Kasyan, including a laptop and a hard drive. The court satisfied the lawsuit and decided to pay Kasyan 47 thousand rubles.
