Two doctors were fired from an Engels hospital whose subordinates put a disabled patient on the floor

At Engels Hospital No. 1, the deputy chief physician and head of the department were fired after the institution’s staff left a disabled man lying on the floor. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Saratov region.

As stated in the release, on June 26, a 57-year-old bedridden patient was brought to the hospital and was intoxicated.

“However, the hospital orderlies left the patient lying on the floor without providing medical assistance. In turn, the management of the medical institution did not monitor the work of subordinate employees,” the prosecutor’s office notes.

In addition to the dismissals, three more employees were disciplined. The department does not specify the names of those dismissed; the hospital’s website lists several deputy chief physicians in different specializations.

Deputy Chairman of the regional government Roman Gribov demanded the dismissal of the head of the emergency room, Andrei Tuseyev, and the deputy head physician for medical affairs, Svetlana Gryaznova.

“Rise” published a video of a patient being placed on the floor from a carrier. The nurse pushes his hand out of the way with her foot. The publication clarified that the man has no leg. According to local residents, he is homeless.
