The Komi will limit the transportation of forest

Since 2022, the Komi Republic may prohibit the transportation of wood with heavy vehicles. Only a river alloy will be used. This was announced by the head of the region Vladimir Uyba.

According to him, he instructed the government after complaints from residents of the Ust-Kulomsky district, where heavy trucks with wood were defeated the only road to the district center. Uyba noted that according to him, in recent years, drivers load transport in excess of the norm and do not comply with seasonal restrictions, but "to oblige violators to take the repair of the roads they kill" - it is impossible.

The head of the republic advised representatives of the forest business this year to start updating the infrastructure of river berths.
